Little Princess

We are taking a break from pre-school work this week.
I am hoping to complete Christmas shopping.
Jerry is going backpacking in the mountains.
So we are taking a little vacation and just having fun playing around.

Jerry and I took our little princess to the library for treats and reads.
Sarita's hair is thin and short: I had to put it in four pony tails to make it look full.

We went to Bella's 3rd birthday and had fun playing.

Letter P Work

This week is a little different for us because Sarita is going to stay with her grammie Wednesday night after church until Saturday or Sunday. So we have done most of our letter P work on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday we saved for going to the library to do story time, crafts, computer and free play. Sarita also has some worksheets she can do at grammie's house if she wants.
Mommy is going to enjoy some personal library time and some time alone with Daddy. :)

Pumpkin coloring page, P/p sorting page,
pumpkin cut and paste page, peacock for our ABC book

Do-a-dot P, P tracing, P letter hunt, P color by letter

Doing a number order puzzle that I found at the 2 Teaching Mommies site.
It was a part of the pumpkin unit.

Coloring page (found the ocean/fish tray at a yard sale -
it's very sturdy plastic; I think it was a lunch tray?)

We made pumpkin cake.
It was from a recipe for pumpkin bars but I didn't have the right size pan.
So we made it in a cake pan and cooked for 15 minutes longer.
Jerry liked it but it was a tad too sweet for me.

Song - I hear the sound of victory

I keep hearing this song on black gospel radio online.
I like it so I looked it up. Here it is:

I hear the sound of victory
I know that things are gonna change for me
I make the sound everywhere I go
And I share the sound with everyone I know

And because of His blood( I overcome)
I don't have to fight ( it's already won)
And with every step I take it's getting closer (closer)

And the louder it gets (the louder I praise)
The more intense (the more I praise)
And the harder it gets (the harder I praise)
My victory is on the way...and it's in my praise
(Repeat)

When I praise (when I praise)
Hands upraised (when I praise)
Things start changing (when I praise)
Rearranging (when I praise)
When I'm on the mountain ( I just praise)
Or even in my valley (I just praise)
Whatever comes my way ( I just praise)
I lift my hands and (just praise)

And because of His blood( I overcome)
I don't have to fight ( it's already won)
And with every step I take it's getting closer (closer)

The louder it gets (the louder I praise)
The more intense (the more I praise)
And the harder it gets (the harder I praise)
My victory is on the way...and it's in my praise
(Repeat 3 x's)

Hallelujah...Hallelujah...Hallelujah..Hallelujah
The harder it gets (the harder I praise)
My victory is on the way...and it's in my praise
(Repeat)

Lord I love you...Lord I love you...Lord I love you...Lord I love you
The harder it gets (the harder I praise)
My victory is on the way...and it's in my praise

Hallelujah...Hallelujah...Hallelujah..Hallelujah
The harder it gets (the harder I praise) ~ (3 x's)
My victory is on the way...and it's in my praise

Here is Sarita saying her Sunday school scripture
that we have been working on for the past few (3 or 4) weeks.
I first took the video on Jerry's camera, which is much clearer and better quality
but it was taking a long time to upload so I took another one on my older camera.

Mark 12:29-30
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:

Come to the Well

John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Enjoying a beautiful fall day

Sarita is having her friend, Bella, spend the night.
Here are the two princesses:

We played outside and are enjoying the nice fall day.

Here are some flowers along the tree line in the back yard:

It's been raining leaves.

Sarita noticed the flowers and promptly proceeded to pick them.

Then they "planted" them by putting them
in the ground with leaves around them.

Sarita likes ears

I think it came from me rubbing her ears when she was a baby while she was going to sleep. Here she is with her cousin, Levi. He had already went to sleep and she rubbed his ears until she fell asleep.

Put together a new dress

Here is a dress that I finished.

I had leftover material and made a drawstring
type bag thing for Sarita to tote her Barbie dolls in.

Letter D Work

We've had a fun filled week. It was interesting learning about dinosaurs together.
We checked out some good books from the library and
it was neat reading about the different kinds of dinosaurs.

Here is what we've hung on the fridge this week to show daddy:

Do-a-dot page, triceratops maze, tracing page,
color/cut/paste dinos, and q-tip painting corn

Tracing pages, letter D hunt, D/d glue to match, and coloring page

Here is a number puzzle I made with my new paper trimmer!
I found the T-Rex pic by doing a google search and then
pasting it in Word and printing on card stock paper.

Building letters with our How To Build an A book

Dinosaur number/color match

Paper plate dinosaur painting

On Thursday we had two friends over: Hannah and Shiloh

Here is Shiloh cutting strips of paper

Sarita and Hannah were working on the color/cut/glue dinosaur page

Then we went to the park

Sarita wore her princess crown that Grammie got her

They played in the sand for a long time

On Friday Lexi came over. We heard funny monster stories at the library
and they made their own paper plate monster creation (not pictured because
Sarita left hers at the church while I was there cleaning).
But we did glue this cool dinosaur skeleton together; found that here.

We also watched Dorothy the Dinosaur dancing on youtube.
