Letter Q Work

Cute things kids say:
Jerry's birthday is on Thanksgiving. I was talking to Sarita and telling her maybe we could surprise him at work. Sarita said "and get him a new truck". :o) Then I explained I meant eating lunch with him not bringing him a new truck.
Sarita was tracing/writing q's and she was giving them names and making them be babies and mamas. She named one after her cousin, Levi. And she named one Papa Jeff and said "he is wonderful".

I cleaned out the front closet where I store all our school stuff.
Sarita had a blast pulling things out and playing.

Caught our princess looking at books different times this week.

How to Make a Large Loopy Hair Bow

Supplies:
34 inch any width ribbon (six total of any color; i used 2 white, 2 red, and 2 green)
2 1/2 inch spring type barrette
26 gauge wire
scissors
ruler

Remove tension bar from barrette.
Wrap one end of wire around one end of barrette to secure.

Layer lengths of ribbon on barrette,
leaving 1 inch extending past end of barrette.

Tightly wrap wire once around ribbon.

Make 1 1/4 or 2 inch loop with layers of ribbon; wrap with wire.

Continue forming loops and wrapping with wire.

Continue until length of barrette is covered.

Wrap wire around end of barrette to secure.

Trim ribbon ends.

Separate ribbon loops.

Replace tension bar in barrette. Ta-da!

Thank you Bella for modeling the bow for me.
(The girls were playing dress up - hence the lack of clothes.)

Sewing gifts for a baby shower

John Deere Ball has 12 separate sections that were sewn together.

Here is the mommy to be, Karen, with the blanket I made.
It had a print on the other side that was different kinds of animals.
