Letter B Work

Here are some highlights from this week and our letter b work.
We had a blast going to yard sales this morning.
We found a Barbie still in the box and a Don't Break the Ice game.

B do-a-dot page; color, cut and paste things that start with b; b tracing page;
b letter hunt; cover b with stickers, peace day collage done at library, and b sorting.

Dry erase alphabet.
I found the tracing pages here.
Just scroll down to the bottom of the page under alphabet letter tracing worksheets.
I put them in Word, printed on card stock paper, and laminated.
The uppercase is one one side and lowercase on the back of the same page.

Sarita found Jerry's packing bubbles and had fun popping them.

                       Counting with clothespins.
I'm loving the cards that came with a $2 book I got from a second-hand store!
They have dots on the back to count, too.

Button counting
(overlook the messy carpet - its right by my
sewing table so it seems to stay messy!)

Life Cycle of a Butterfly Mobile

The butterfly is made from coloring with markers on a coffee filter.
Then you pinch the middle and twist a pipe cleaner around for the body/antenna.
After Sarita colored this page we cut them out, punched a hole, and stapled them
to a paper plate. The idea for the mobile came from here.

Check out this video about the butterfly life cycle.
